You will reap the benefits of deep tissue massage if it becomes a regular part of your life. Just like lifting and physical therapy, the best results come from repetition over time. My goal is for us to work together to take better care of your health, long-term.
Communication is absolutely key. I need to know how you're feeling, past injury/surgery, current activity levels, what lifts or movements are painful/tight/uncomfortable, what you're looking to gain from the massage, discomfort levels during the massage etc. In turn, we will work together to form the best treatment plan for you.
Deep tissue/sports Massage is a tool to aid in recovery, range of motion, stress, tension, and pain relief. Whether you're an athlete or just want to feel better, the benefits of massage can be life changing. Let me be a part of your journey!
Deep Tissue reaches deeper layers of the muscles to restore proper function to help get rid of trigger points, "knots", and release tension in the muscle. This massage is beneficial for athletic and conventional lifestyles alike for pain management, recovery, and overall better quality of life.
Rockblading is a lighter technique that uses a dull instrument to open up superficial tissue connected to the muscle along with helping the brain reconnect fully to an area of previous injury or restriction. The brain will lower signals to an area of injury or restriction as to not further aforementioned issue. But sometimes, the brain will not reconnect those signals even after healing, so that’s where the Rockblades come in to heighten the signals and restore range of motion.
Cupping is a modality that uses either plastic or silicone cups to create negative pressure, like a vacuum, that lifts and separates the different layers of tissue. This, in turn, creates an environment of relaxation in the tissue that promotes better exchange of interstitial fluids, vascular regeneration, decreased hypersensitivity, and better range of motion. Basically, I will either glide a cup across the skin or put it stationary on a particular spot to move water around to spots that need it and create space in the tissues that need it.
My name is Cheyenne! I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2017 and owner of Alchemy Massage Therapy since 2019. I competed in Strongman competitively for seven years before having to pivot to acrobatic silks in 2023. I still lift heavy, just my focus has slightly shifted. I love my husband, my pets, playing the cello, and giving one hell of a deep tissue massage!
Hello! My name is Kiwi and I proudly hold the spot of receptionist and company mascot. My duties are to enthusiastically greet my mom's clients, demand a few head/butt pats, and take a little nap when mom is working. My hobbies include chasing squirrels in the yard, barking at the mailman, taking a nap underneath a warm blanket, and meeting all of mom's new clients!
TBD: looking for a deep tissue/sports massage therapist!
